Active substances and effects
Matcha contains caffeine, but thanks to the amino acid L-theanine, caffeine is released gradually - alertness without nervousness and without an “energy crash” after the effect wears off.
L-theanine supports alpha-waves in the brain - a feeling of calm concentration, often described as “relaxed energy”.
Matcha is rich in catechins (especially EGCG) – powerful antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress.
It has a high chlorophyll content, because the leaves grow in the shade – it helps neutralise free radicals and supports antioxidant processes.
Properties
Moya Matcha Premium is the highest quality ceremonial green tea from Japan. It is obtained from the 1st harvest from tea plants, which are specially shaded from direct sunlight. The result is a higher content of chlorophyll and L-theanine and a richer green colour. Only the best and finest fresh leaves are collected, which are dried and ground into powder. Moya Matcha Premium has a full, intense sweet flavour and a creamy texture.
