What is Maca peruánská?

Maca, which you may know as Peruvian ginseng, Peruvian viagra or the Queen of the Andes, is in fact a root. In appearance, it can resemble beetroot.

Its production is concentrated at high altitudes in the South American Andes.

Active substances and effects

This herb contains many essential amino acids that the body cannot produce on its own. It contains vitamin B1, B2, B6, as well as vitamin C and E.

To a significant extent, Maca also contains elements and minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, potassium and magnesium.

Maca improves learning and memory, alleviates menopause symptoms, supports fertility, naturally increases libido, lowers blood pressure, contributes to protection against sun radiation.

Recommended daily dosage 4-6 capsules 1-3 times a day

More suitable for daytime use

Side effects

At higher doses, it may cause digestive problems (bloating, diarrhoea, stomach upset), increased blood pressure, and insomnia if taken in the evening.

It should not be combined with ashwagandha, strongly stimulating substances (caffeine, mate, energy drinks), or medicines for high blood pressure.
